Meija anxiety Counselor Texas

Finding the right counselor in Texas can be overwhelming

You are ready for relief from the current pressure you feel, and someone to talk to who doesn’t just tell you to “stop worrying”. Whether you are starting college, changing your career, relocated from another city or state, experiencing an empty nest, entering retirement or recovering from a breakup, divorce, or death—such life transitions can feel surprisingly unnerving….

As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Arizona, my ultimate goal is to help you move forward with clarity and grace, connect with your inner wisdom and healing, and learn to cultivate peace throughout the many areas of your life.

I have been a practicing clinician for over 10 years, and have training and supervision in both private practice and community agencies that provide mental health services. I have worked with the seriously mentally ill, substance use/recovery, grief, incarcerated youth and adults, families and children, young adults and the elderly throughout my career. I have a Bachelor's degree in Interpersonal Communication from Arizona State University, and a Masters degree in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University, with an additional Certificate of Graduate Studies in the Treatment of Trauma, Abuse and Deprivation. I am licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, License #87055; as well by the State of Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, License #LPC-19191.

Working Through It Together

It’s beneficial for us to keep our weekly appointments consistent. So, to help make the therapy process smooth and accessible, I offer online video sessions.

You will be sent weekly appointment reminders, your initial paperwork to complete and electronically sign, and your session link (if requesting video sessions) directly to your email to access online.
